DASH CLEANING AND
PREPARATION:
- Clean dash surfaces by applying 3M
Prep-Sol 70 (Prep-Sol) cleaner, rubbing alcohol or mineral spirits to a
clean paper towel and thoroughly clean each vehicle surface where the
wood trim is to be applied. Wipe off any
residue with a fresh clean paper towel before it completely dries. Fold towels between each part cleaning and
apply additional Prep-Sol cleaner as required.
- Clean dash surfaces a second time using a
paper towel and alcohol. Fold the paper
towel several times during the cleaning process to provide a fresh
surface. Allow alcohol to dry completely. Do not let the alcohol come into contact with
any clear plastic surfaces covering gauges, clocks, radios or warning
lights.
- To test surfaces to ensure proper cleaning
apply a small piece of masking tape to different area’s that have been
cleaned. (Use a new piece of masking tape
for each area tested.) If the masking tape
peels off without resistance, repeat cleaning procedure.
Repeat all cleaning steps until masking tape
sticks aggressively.
- Apply adhesive promoter to all areas being
covered with dash appliqué. A thin film will do.

INSTALLATION:
- Place dash appliqué on appropriate
factory
part and lightly tack into place once properly aligned.
